A little bit of history
Andrésy, producer of Les Confitures à l'Ancienne, is a third-generation family business since 1952. These three generations have succeeded each other to create and cook the best jams, in harmony with French traditions and gastronomy.
Their manufacture was originally located in the heart of the largest orchard in the region of Ile de France, a few miles from Paris.
The founder, René Walther, was raised by a Breton nurse who was passionate about the terroir. Together with his wife Jocelyne, they started cooking the fruits in the surrounding orchards and selling them to the neighboring retail shops and market places.
Eventually, René started working with the greatest French chefs and premium pastry chefs to develop original recipes, adapted to the tastes of all these discerning gourmets.
Since then, Andrésy has obtained the Living Heritage Company's label that recognizes a company's work for their excellence and artisanal skills.
Les Confitures à l'Ancienne continues to prepare their jams in a traditional copper cauldron, which guarantees a distinctive full-bodied taste. Their jams are completely natural with no artificial coloring agents, flavorings, or preservatives.
